FRAGMENTS OF A NEW HORIZON – PERSISTENCE

Persistence is the second wave this diptych. A new sensational journey amongst homemade progressive instrumental songs founded on analog sounds, areal pads and iconic strings.

We were looking to introduce train sound in 'Sweet Feelings'. This turned into the sound of the metro that we take to reach the second part of the album, which is more conventional… in the Ediptix sense of the term.

At first a simple arpeggio of notes played on the magnificent Mellotron. The whole thing is enhanced by a bass line. One or two cut and pastes to give a structure. This 'Spartan' piece made us sweat and ended up as a masterpiece. And the sound of the Mellotron, a treat for the ears.
